Carol Ruth
Founder & CEO

Carol Ruth founded The Ruth Group in 1999 to focus on providing clients with strategic communications counsel and a high level of client service. TRG offers sophisticated investor relations and public relations programs and counsel to clients across all stages of development from launch to public ownership. Since its inception, TRG has grown to an agency representing companies from coast-to-coast and diverse industry sectors. TRG clients range across stages of developments from launch to public ownership.

Carol is a veteran member of the investor relations and public relations profession both in counseling companies and representing the industry. Prior to The Ruth Group, she was chairman and chief executive officer of Edelman Financial Worldwide. As Chairman of Edelman Financial, she was responsible for the firm's global investor relations and financial public relations practices.

Before joining Edelman in May 1997, Carol was founder, president and chief executive officer of Dewe Rogerson, Inc., the subsidiary of the British company bearing the same name. In the eleven years she headed Dewe Rogerson, Inc., she built the firm into a leading cross-border investor relations firm with revenues totaling over $10 million. In her 30 years in the profession, Carol has worked in virtually all areas of corporate and financial communications. She has been a leader in counseling international companies from Europe, Latin America, Asia and emerging markets on their investor and corporate communications. She has represented an unprecedented number of international companies on their approach to the U.S. capital markets from Level 1 ADRs to full SEC listings.

Prior to joining Dewe Rogerson, Carol was senior vice president of Hill and Knowlton's Financial Division. Among various assignments during her 18-year tenure at Hill and Knowlton, Ms. Ruth specialized in investor relations, corporate positioning, marketing for financial institutions, mergers and acquisitions, and crisis management.

Carol is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) New York Chapter. She was national chairman of NIRI in 1984, president of its New York Chapter in 1982, and a member of the New York Chapter board from 1999-2000. She is currently a member of the NIRI Senior Roundtable and sits on the Steering Committee. She also continues to be a frequent guest speaker for industry platforms on various aspects of financial communications and investor relations.
